Project Objectives:

To understand the role of mergers and acquisitions (M&A) in corporate growth and restructuring.

To conduct a financial analysis of selected M&A deals in the Indian corporate sector.

To evaluate the financial performance of companies before and after M&A transactions.

To identify the key drivers and challenges influencing M&A success in India.

To assess the impact of M&A on shareholder value, profitability, and financial stability.

Project Tasks:

Conduct a literature review on M&A concepts, theories, and financial implications.

Select 2–3 major M&A transactions in the Indian corporate sector for detailed analysis.

Collect and compare financial statements (pre- and post-merger) of the selected companies.

Analyze key financial ratios such as EPS, ROE, ROI, and debt-equity ratio to measure impact.

Study stock market reactions to the announcements of the mergers or acquisitions.

Evaluate the strategic fit and financial synergies achieved through the transactions.

Prepare a report presenting the financial impact, conclusions, and recommendations.
