Project Objectives:

To examine the effectiveness of various input methods (e.g. hand tracking, controllers, gaze-based selection) on user interaction in virtual reality applications developed in Unity.

To identify the advantages and disadvantages of each input method in terms of user experience, immersion, and ease of use.

To determine how the choice of input method influences user engagement and performance in virtual reality applications.

To provide recommendations for developers on selecting the most appropriate input method based on the nature of the virtual reality project.

Project Tasks:

Conduct a literature review on the different input methods used in virtual reality applications.

Develop a virtual reality application using Unity that incorporates multiple input methods for user interaction.

Design and conduct user testing sessions to gather feedback on the effectiveness of each input method.

Analyze the data collected from the user testing sessions and draw conclusions on the impact of different input methods on user interaction in virtual reality applications.
