To develop competencies in collaborating with faculty, parents, and external stakeholders to create a supportive learning environment.

To design data collection and documentation methods that monitor student progress and outcomes, facilitating continuous improvement of counselling services.

To build presentation and report-writing skills by delivering a comprehensive counselling program proposal and stakeholder briefing.

Overall, to simulate real-world workplace challenges encountered by educational counsellors, integrating analytical thinking, problem-solving, program design, and professional communication.

Project Tasks:

Conduct a simulated intake session with a diverse student profile (provided case studies) to identify key educational, emotional, and career-related challenges using active listening and assessment techniques.

Analyze the gathered information to prioritize issues and formulate a personalised counselling plan aligned with the student’s academic goals and socio-emotional needs.

Develop a multi-session counselling intervention framework incorporating career guidance tools, learning strategies, and motivational techniques.

Prepare a detailed report documenting the counselling plan, ethical considerations, confidentiality protocols, and expected outcomes.

Design an outreach strategy to engage faculty and parents, fostering a collaborative support system for the student.

Create data tracking templates to monitor progress and evaluate the effectiveness of the counselling interventions.

Present the complete counselling program outline, rationale, and implementation plan to a panel acting as school administrators and stakeholders, incorporating feedback to refine the approach.

Reflect on potential challenges in real-world application, such as handling crisis situations or resistance, and propose contingency plans.

Submit all documentation, including session notes, reports, communication plans, and evaluation metrics, demonstrating professional standards of record-keeping and ethical compliance.
