The primary aim of this project is to assess the influence of business intelligence tools on decision-making within large and mid-sized enterprises. The students will focus on understanding how these tools help managers make faster, more accurate, and data-driven decisions. The project intends to identify the gaps between tool capabilities and organizational outcomes, and evaluate whether the use of BI tools leads to improved business agility, efficiency, and competitive advantage. At the end of the project, students are expected to propose strategic recommendations to enhance the impact of BI tools on organizational performance and planning.
To successfully complete the project, students will need to carry out several research-oriented and analytical tasks. First, they will conduct a thorough literature review of academic and industry resources on business intelligence systems and their managerial relevance. Second, they will perform a comparative analysis of case studies from enterprises that have integrated BI tools into various business units such as marketing, finance, operations, and human resources. Third, students may design and distribute surveys or conduct structured interviews with business managers or BI users to gather qualitative insights into the practical impact of these tools. Fourth, students will identify the key benefits, limitations, and challenges experienced during BI adoption. Lastly, they will compile their findings into a strategic report, offering actionable recommendations for maximizing BI effectiveness in enterprise environments. All tasks will focus on managerial evaluation rather than technical development.
