Through this project, the student will be able to:
Understand the background and intent for establishment the IMEC
Understand the planned developments regd IMEC
Have an update on current developments on IMEC
Gain exposure to multi-modal logistics operations in international business.
Compare the various logistics cost models in transportation between India and EU countries.
Compare IMEC route with other trading routes viz. Chinese Silk Road Project
Establish export & import viability for products through IMEC.
Project Tasks:
Students will be required to undertake following tasks:
Export-import data analysis of India to & from European countries.
Study the charters of prepared by various govts of countries involved in IMEC regarding investments, timelines and schedules and connectivity.
Live interaction with some agencies in the international supply chain viz. freight forwarders, suppliers, etc.
Prepare & compare logistic cost sheets involving calculations.
Study and understand Logistics Performance Index (LPI) of countries involved in this project.
Any other activities as may be required depending on the uniqueness of the project.
