The objective of this project is to design and develop a Library Management System integrated with a Role-Based Authorization Model. The system ensures secure access to library resources, efficient book and user management, and provides hands-on experience in database design, backend development, and access control mechanisms.
Analyze library system requirements and prepare Software Requirement Specification (SRS).
Design overall system architecture and role-based workflow.
Create database schema for books, members, librarians, roles, permissions, and transactions.
Implement authentication and role-based authorization (Admin, Librarian, Member).
Develop modules for book catalog management including add, update, delete, and search.
Implement book issue, return, renewal, and fine calculation functionality.
Restrict system features based on user roles and assigned permissions.
Design secure login system with password hashing and session management.
Build responsive user interfaces using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript or a framework.
Integrate backend using Java / Python / PHP / Node.js as per BCA/MCA curriculum.
Implement input validation and protect against common security threats.
Generate reports such as issued books, overdue books, and user activity logs.
Perform unit testing, system testing, and role-based access testing.
Prepare complete project documentation including ER diagrams, DFDs, and test cases.
Deploy the system locally or on a cloud platform and present a working demonstration.
