Project Objectives:

Fleet management forms the most integral part of logistics and transportation companies, as there is a need to make time-bound deliveries while keeping operational expenditures at a minimum through the maintenance of the health of the fleet.

This paper seeks to develop a comprehensive fleet management system that will trace the real-time location of vehicles, issue maintenance alerts based on distance and time events, monitor consumption of fuel, generate driver performance analytics, etc. GPS technology, integrated with data analytics, will help stakeholders make better decisions toward increased efficiency in their fleets.

Project Tasks:

 Week 1-2: Initial Planning and Requirement Analysis

Define project objectives, scope, and high-level requirements

Gather necessary data and resources  Week 3-4: Design Phase

Design UI/UX

Design Wireframes and Mockups of the Fleet Management System  Week 5-6: Development Phase - Real-time Tracking

Implement real-time vehicle tracking with GPS technology

Develop a Database schema for fleet data  Week 7-8: Development Phase - Maintenance and Fuel Monitoring

Implement the procedure to schedule vehicle maintenance and monitor fuel usage

Ensure data privacy and security of fleet information  Week 9-10: Development Phase: Driver Performance and Analytics —

Develop features for analytics in driver performance and operational efficiency

Integrate data analytics for actionable insights  Week 11-12: Testing and Refinement Phase

Comprehensive Testing to ensure functionality and usability

Performance measures and user feedback-based system improvement

Final project report compilation and documentation

Presentations of individual reports by students
