Project Objectives:

With high vehicle density and limited parking spaces, urban areas are increasingly facing significant parking challenges. Traditional parking methods lead to congestion, wasted time, and environmental pollution. This project aims to develop an IoT-based smart parking solution that provides real-time data on parking availability, ensuring a hassle-free experience. The proposed system will integrate sensors, mobile applications, and data analytics to enhance parking efficiency and contribute to smarter city infrastructure.

Project Tasks:

 Week 1-2: Initial Planning and Requirement Analysis

Define the objectives, scope, and high-level requirements for the project

Gather all necessary data and resources  Week 3-4: Design Phase

System architecture and data flow design

Wireframes and mockups for the mobile application interface  Weeks 5-6: Development Phase: IoT Sensors and Backend

IoT sensor deployment in the parking spots to keep them under observation

Development of the backend that will gather and process data  Weeks 7-8: Development Phase: Mobile Application

Implement a mobile application that will inform about the availability of parking spaces and navigate to the parking location in real time

Integration of payment and reservation features  Weeks 9-10: Integration and Security

Ensure secure data transmission and storage

Integrate all the system's components and perform an initial test  Week 11-12: Testing and Refinement Phase

Extensive testing for functionality and usability

Refine the system based on performance metrics and user feedback

Finalize project report and complete final documentation

Individual presentations of student reports
