Project Objectives:

The growing adoption of IoT devices has driven the need for smart, energy-efficient home automation systems. This project aims to develop an IoT-based system that automates lighting, thermostat control, and home security using AI-driven decision-making. The system will enable web-based remote control and intelligent automation, enhancing convenience, energy efficiency, and security for homeowners.

Project Tasks:

 Week 1-2: Initial Planning and Requirement Analysis.

Defining the project objectives, scope, and high-level requirements of the deliverable.

Gathering data and resources required.

 Week 3-4: IoT Device Integration Phase

Identifying and integrating various IoT devices to perform home automation

Secure communication protocols to get the devices to interact with each other  Week 5-6: AI Algorithm Development Phase

Develop Artificial Intelligence Algorithms that shall make decisions based on sensor data and as per user preferences.

Validation of test data for algorithm accuracy and performance testing.

 Week 7-8: System Implementation Phase

Implementation of a central control system that can handle all the devices at home

Remote controlling and monitoring of the system with a user interface

Test bedding of the system by checking the performance matrices and refinement by user feedback  Week 9-10: System Integration and Testing Phase

Run the smart home automation system in the test home environment.

Observe system and user interaction with its performance.

Enhance the system continuously on analytics and user feedback.

 Week 11-12: Final Evaluation and Reporting Phase

Final evaluation and validation along with smart home automation system

Compilation of final project report and documentation.

Individual presentations of student reports
