Strengthen communication and stakeholder management skills by preparing recruitment briefs, candidate profiles, and technical interview guides for engineering hiring managers.

Practice ethical and professional judgment in candidate evaluation, data privacy compliance, and diversity and inclusion considerations within recruitment processes.

Gain experience in using applicant tracking systems (ATS) and digital tools commonly employed by aerospace recruiters to streamline recruitment workflows.

Prepare and deliver a professional presentation summarizing recruitment strategies, challenges encountered, and recommendations for optimizing engineering talent acquisition.

Project Tasks:

Analyze aerospace industry labor market data and project plans from a hypothetical aerospace firm to identify critical engineering roles and skill gaps.

Design a comprehensive recruitment campaign targeting aerospace engineers, considering channels such as university partnerships, industry job boards, and social media platforms.

Develop detailed candidate personas for at least three specialized engineering roles (e.g., aerospace systems engineer, propulsion specialist, avionics engineer), specifying required skills, certifications, and experience.

Create competency-based interview questions and evaluation criteria tailored to each engineering role.

Simulate the screening process by reviewing provided candidate resumes and selecting those that best match the role requirements, justifying decisions based on technical qualifications and organizational fit.

Draft a workforce plan outlining recruitment timelines, anticipated hiring volumes, and contingency strategies for talent shortages.

Use an applicant tracking system demo or spreadsheet to manage candidate data and track recruitment progress.

Prepare a concise report and presentation for senior management summarizing recruitment strategies, candidate selection rationale, and recommendations for improving recruitment effectiveness in aerospace engineering.
