Project Objectives:

Cities are rapidly growing with populations, which stress their infrastructures, resources, and the environment. Traditional methods of urban planning generally lack the wherewithal to keep up with the dynamism of changes and complex systems of today's urban setting.

The project is led in the aspects of developing AI models that can run a vast quantity of urban data to come out with insight and forecasts for city planning. This project, at the core of AI, will offer an excellent base for supporting the creation of smart cities that are more efficient, sustainable, and responsive to the needs of their residents.

Project Tasks:

 Week 1-2: Initial Planning and Requirement Analysis

Define the objectives of the project, scope, and high-level requirements

Scoping out Enabling Data and Resources  Week 3-4: Design Phase

System architecture design

Design of data flow

Design wireframes and mockups of the user interface  Week 5-6: Data gathering and integration

Setting up data sources, development of data processing pipelines

Ensuring data quality and consistency  Week 7-8: Development of AI models

Develop Artificial Intelligence models for analyzing urban data to predict trends

Train and validate models on the gathered data  Week 9-10: Interface Development

Design a user interface through which the city planner interfaces with the system

Ensure a more user-friendly and accessible interaction  Week 11-12: Testing and Refinement Phase

Run comprehensive tests to ensure functionality and usability.

Refine the system according to performance metrics and user feedback.

Compilation and documentation of the final project report

Presentations of student’s final individual reports
